The City of Tacoma still has appointment slots available for voluntary Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance inspections on Sept. 9.

The inspections begin at 9 a.m. at 1614 Lincoln Ave. in Tacoma. The site is located near the Lincoln Avenue Bridge over the Puyallup River. See a map.

Trucks passing the inspection will receive a CSVA decal. It is valid for three months and should help minimize delays for roadside inspections.

The program is provided by the City of Tacoma, City of Fife and Port of Tacoma.
