Continuing construction work on SR 509 is expected to cause daytime delays in both the northbound and southbound lanes next week.
Daytime work returns Aug. 12 to 15
The contractor working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will complete sidewalk ramps and install traffic detection loops from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, through Friday, Aug. 15.
The contractor does not expect to be working in both directions at the same time.
Nighttime work expected Aug. 15 to 21
The contractor will also work at night to complete paving and striping activities. Work is expected to occur in the north and southbound lanes during the following timeframes, unless otherwise noted:
- 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, to 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 (northbound only)
- 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 17 through Thursday, Aug. 21
Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
