The Port of Tacoma has promoted Jack Hedge to Director of Real Estate & Industrial Development.

In his new position, Hedge is responsible for leading and developing the Port’s real estate line of business to improve its economic growth. His duties include managing and marketing Port real estate assets and acquiring and developing new properties to support Port goals and operations.

Hedge joined the Port in May 2006 as a real estate manager. Before he joined the Port, Hedge held various leadership roles in private industry, including Wood Group Power Operation in Atlanta, Ga., North American Energy Services in Issaquah and Enserch Development in Houston, Texas.

Hedge holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas A&M University.

The Puyallup resident has served on the Good Samaritan Hospital and Foundation boards, Puyallup Civil Affairs and Salary commissions, and is a regular among the Puyallup Fair and Rodeo Wranglers.
