Due to the cost of fuel, the fuel surcharge for the Port of Tacoma straddle carriers will be adjusted Feb. 19 as follows:

  • The North Intermodal Yard lift surcharge will increase from $0.73 to $0.77 per lift, effective Feb. 22.
  • The gate charge Port-operated terminals surcharge will increase $0.73 to $0.77 per lift, effective Feb. 22.
  • The straddle carrier rental surcharge will increase from $7.31 to $7.66 per hour, effective March 1.

These charges are based on fuel costs for Port of Tacoma straddle carriers between Jan. 17 and Feb. 15. This will be reviewed again March 24, with notification March 26.
