Due to the cost of fuel, the fuel surcharge for the Port of Tacoma straddle carriers will be adjusted April 23 as follows:

  • The North Intermodal Yard lift surcharge will decrease from $0.77 to $0.74 per lift, effective April 26.
  • The gate charge Port-operated terminals surcharge will decrease from $0.77 to $0.74 per lift, effective April 26.
  • The straddle carrier rental surcharge will decrease from $7.73 to $7.43 per hour, effective May 1.

These charges are based on fuel costs for Port of Tacoma straddle carriers between March 22 and April 18. This will be reviewed again May 16, with notification May 21.
