Expect delays on SR 509 through the Port industrial area this week. Due to rain last week, the contactor working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will now complete the sidewalk ramps and install traffic detection loops Monday through Wednesday.
Expected work times include:
Monday, Aug. 18
- Northbound lanes from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 19
- Northbound lanes from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Southbound lanes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 20
- Northbound lanes from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Southbound lanes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
In addition to the daytime work, expect nighttime closures Sunday through Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
