More than 350 customers, business leaders and community members joined us April 9 at the Port of Tacoma 2014 Annual Breakfast in downtown Tacoma.

Keynote Bill Mongelluzzo, a senior editor with the Journal of Commerce based in Long Beach, Calif., examined how big ships and big alliances are contributing to unprecedented change in the international shipping industry.

CEO John Wolfe talked about what Tacoma is doing to address these challenges and ways businesses and the community can help us succeed. These include voicing support for a state transportation funding package that includes finally finishing state routes 167 and 509, investments in local road improvements and comprehensive reform of the Harbor Maintenance Tax.
