At their January meeting, Port commissioners designated commission officer positions for the upcoming year, with Don Meyer serving as Port of Tacoma commission president and Deanna Keller as vice president for 2022. The commission president also serves as co-chair of The Northwest Seaport Alliance.

- John McCarthy, first assistant secretary
- Dick Marzano, second assistant secretary
At their Feb. 17 meeting, commissioners finalized 2022 boards and work groups assignments. Every year, commissioners are assigned to serve on a variety of local, state and regional boards, committees, and work groups in areas including freight mobility, economic development, transportation and more. Port commission meetings take place at noon on the third Thursday of every month and are open to the public. Commission meetings are currently being held in a hybrid format with the public invited to attend remotely by watching a livestream of the meeting on the Port’s website or listening by phone.
