What is an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)?
The EIS provides comprehensive information about a project's purpose and need, proposed plans and potential environmental effects.

How can the public be involved?
Before an EIS can be finalized, it must be released in draft form for public review and comment. These comments are collected and addressed in the final version of the EIS. Read the draft EIS.

  3. Review copies of the draft EIS at the Tacoma Public Library, Pierce County Library System and the Washington State Library
