Bulk cargoes

The Port of Tacoma serves as a major grain export center for corn and soybeans from the U.S. Midwest. Ships from around the world call at the grain terminal, as well as at privately-owned and operated facilities in the Port area transporting other bulk items, including salt, logs, scrap metal, tallow, lime and petroleum.
