Construction detours/road closures: Lincoln Avenue grade separation

The following projects near the Tacoma Tideflats will affect how you move through the area.

The overpass will extend along Lincoln Avenue from about Marc Street to Thorne Road. Construction is expected be completed by May 2011.

Current closure status:
Lincoln Avenue is closed from Thorne Road to Marc Street.

For access through the construction zone, these roads will remain open for the duration of the project:

  • Milwaukee Way (train traffic may delay road traffic at Milwaukee Way)
  • APM Road Connector

  • Access to businesses will be provided during construction. 

We recommend planning extra time for detours. Watch signs and flaggers carefully as the detour route may change as construction progresses.
