Port of Tacoma names Sue Mauermann to lead Facilities Development
The Port of Tacoma has named Sue Mauermann senior director of Facilities Development, a position she has held on an interim basis since January.
Mauermann is responsible for leading the Port’s planning, engineering and environmental programs to plan for responsible growth, deliver capital projects that benefit Port customers and neighbors, and safeguard the environment during the development and operation of Port facilities.
She joined the Port in January 2007 as director of Environmental Programs.
Before joining the Port, Mauermann was deputy director for the Washington Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development (now the Department of Commerce), and worked for the state Department of Ecology for 27 years in a variety of senior leadership positions.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and environmental science from the University of Puget Sound.
