CONSTRUCTION



Projects are advertised in the Tacoma News Tribune when the estimated cost exceeds $200,000. Contract Documents are available at Builder's Exchange at www.bxwa.com.

Current Opportunities

Small Works Roster
The Port may award construction contracts of up to $200,000 using the Small Works Roster. Apply to be on the Small Works Roster by filling out our application form. Acrobat (.PDF) and Word (.doc) versions are available for download Acrobat version application, Word version application for enrollment on the Small Works Roster.

CONSULTANT SERVICES



The bulk of the Port's requirements are for engineering and environmental consulting services. Occasionally, the Port requires consulting services for such disciplines as appraisal, information technology and professional development.

Current Opportunities

The Port maintains a roster of architecture/engineering firms, and a roster for other consultants, which are used to select most consultants.

For major procurements a request for proposals may be posted on the web site or advertised in the News Tribune or Daily Journal of Commerce and other publications.

PURCHASED GOODS AND SERVICES



The Port may make purchases through the open market, through State of Washington purchasing contracts, or through formal advertised bid.

SURPLUS EQUIPMENT



Surplus equipment may be sold through sealed bid, auction or transferred to another government agency. The Port cannot donate surplus property directly to non-profit organizations.
